OUR BIOS

Bob Carroll:
As the Founder and President, Bob strives to keep the shop at the front of the pack. Most find it difficult to understand how a young guy can already have 12 years of welding and fabricating experience in a field that most others enjoy as a hobby. Learning the trade at a very early age gave Bob the opportunity to build what only a few are fortunate enough to make a career out of. For him, designing and building each project along side the rest of the staff and keeping the entire facility running is well worth the endless hours it requires.

Bob is a graduate with honors of Wyotech , holding an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Automotive Technology, specializing in Auto Fabrication. He is a member of the American Welding Society, National Vocational – Technical Honor Society and has been a Member of the Advisory Committee at his alma mater.

Leo Barnaby III:
Owner and Founder of Neverlift Motorsports, Leo is now the Shop and Production Manager of Carroll’s Rod and Racecraft. After marrying a wonderful woman in 2004 and becoming a father to a beautiful girl, a merge of his business with Carroll’s was a “no-brainer”. Without the stresses of owning a business Leo continues using his talent, leadership and exemplary fabrication skills to build some of the cleanest, most innovative and record breaking drag race cars around. Leo specializes in building, driving and tuning some of the country’s fastest Street Car Style/Outlaw 10.5 cars.

Leo has an extensive automotive background including 15 years as a GM technician and shop foreman. Leo is certified as an ASE Master Technician with Advanced Level Status and a NJ Motor Vehicle Inspector License. Leo also holds an SFI Certification and an NHRA Advanced E.T. & Competition License. Leo’s winning background is decorated with 2 NHRA “Wally” trophies along with multiple local Quick 8 championships. Leo enjoys racing amongst the local Corvette Challenge enthusiasts.

Dan, the 4×4 guru, comes to Carroll’s Rod & Racecraft with a multitude of experience. Never afraid to think outside of the box, Dan has a commitment to safety and craftsmanship; holding a B.S in Engineering from DeVry University and a member of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

As a former sole-proprietor, Dan owned Eastcoast 4WD, a full service shop installing roll cages, custom suspension, gears and rears. Dan is a MECP Master Installer and experienced welder.

The most recent addition to Carroll’s Rod & Racecraft, Ed Monari compliments the staff with over 15 years of industry experience. Ed’s addiction to the industry may have been inherited, a third generation mechanic, welder and accomplished racer; Ed brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and service know-how to the shop.

Holding a competition license and an avid Pro 10.0 and Pro 8.5 competitor; Ed is a member of the Eliminators—the local 2007 Corvette Challenge Runner-Up. Amongst his accomplishments, Ed is also a founder of the New Jersey Chapter of Dead End Cruisers.
